I will continue to advocate.

Hello, my name is Lorena Biassotti.

As my little one was all set to embark on her very first day of kindergarten, excited and laying out her outfit for her first day of school, then governor Sisolak dropped a bombshell on families across the valley: all students of all ages were to adhere to a state wide mask mandate. What should have been a joyous and unforgettable occasion quickly turned into a profound source of exasperation. The following week, I found myself at my very first school board meeting, addressing a board of representatives who disqualified my concerns and shut me out. It was throughout this journey that I realized that many parents -like myself- were discovering that the mask mandate had just been

the tip of the iceberg.

There was a myriad of issues plaguing our schools.

From that defining moment onward, I made a solemn vow to stand up for both parents and students alike. Whether I found myself in a packed meeting room or sitting solo, I understood that even a solitary voice could carry weight. I am determined to serve as that unwavering voice that champions parents, making decisions solely with the best interests of students at heart.

My ultimate goal is to take the reins of education away from bureaucrats and place them firmly back in the

hands of parents.
